All of these collars and leads are handcrafted in HAWAII, U.S.A. by Lori and Tom--using the highest quality materials.

Martingale Training collars are considered safer than choke chains or prong collars.  Used with a leash or hand, the "Correction" part of the collar tightens behind their ears when your dog pulls and loosens when he stops--so it's only tight when you need it.  They give you greater control and reduce the risk of your dog slipping out and escaping.

All of our Martingale style collars are adjustable and of course we sew 100% Cotton Fabric over Nylon Webbing and use Heavy Duty Hardware.

We offer four optional styles, to suit your needs......"Slip Over" Collars with Fabric Over Webbing Correction Loop or Chain Correction and "Quick Release Buckle" (for easier on and off) Collars with Fabric Over Webbing Correction Loop or Chain Correction.

These are perfect for “escape artists” and breeds with necks larger than their heads. THESE ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR TIE-OUT USE.

To fit your Martingale Collar:
Measure your dog around the top of the neck directly behind the ears as shown in the figure (1).  This measurement is the same as the collar in closed position (2).

Place the collar around your dog's neck. Adjust the fit by pushing nylon through the slide. When tightened with a leash or by holding the (single loop or D-Ring) like a handle, the two metal rings should touch directly behind your dog's ears.

Our hand-selected cotton fabric cover helps keep pet fur from matting and provides a unique Hawaiian touch.  The high-tensile strength webbing forms a strong inner core for both the collars and leads.  The heavy-duty curved buckles and slide make the collars fully adjustable and more contoured for your dog's comfort.  The thick, Solid-Cast Nickel Plated metal D-rings on the collars and heavy-duty bolt snap-locks on the leads ensure a secure collar-lead connection.

What's more, our products are super easy to clean. Simply treat them with a stain remover (such as Spray 'n Wash®), hand or machine wash in cold water, and line or machine dry (we prefer you take it off your dog prior to machine washing or rying). You can keep items clean between washings by treating them with a fabric protector (such as ScotchgardTM).

NOTES:
These are limited edition patterns--SO DON'T WAIT!! Some styles may not be available in all sizes.  Each item is hand-made, so no two collars or leashes are exactly the same--ONE of the nice things about them!

Returns for special order items will not be accepted unless it was our mistake.  For other Returns/Exchanges, see our Policies Page.

We can custom make just about any size length and width combinations for both collars and leashes, based on your personal requirements (for an additional cost)--contact us directly by email with your specifications and we'll provide you a quote.
